Shaw Sheet Metal has installed one of the latest generation of Amada bending machines for high end applications. The HG series gives greater productivity, compared to conventional equipment, and top class accuracy. It is also surprisingly environmentally efficient, using some 50% less power and 60% less oil than previously.
The greater speed and relentless accuracy will prove popular with customers on tight time-scales working to high specifications. The machine will automatically detect changes in the thickness of sheet material and adjust itself to ensure a consistent end result. This cuts wastage and material consumption.
Automatic tool changing reduces set up times, particularly important when dealing with smaller batch sizes.
So once again, Shaw Sheet Metal has shown its commitment to staying at the forefront of sheet tool technology, with this £120,000 investment.
